What is the exchange?
The Ohio University Student Senate Book Exchange is an online gathering point for people who wish to buy and sell textbooks. The service is provided for free to all OU students.

Why would I use it?
The Exchange can save you money! By purchasing your book used from another student, you can purchase it at less than the bookstore used book prices. By selling your book in the Exchange, you can sell it for more than any bookstore would pay for it. In either situation, you would come out ahead!

How does it work?
The Exchange shares information. You can use it to easily find out how much online bookstores want for the book, compared to getting it from students directly.

The Exchange is a simple advertising tool. You simply place an ad into the system, enter in some contact information (name, phone, email, instant message name, etc.) into an account and then use your information to submit new ads.

Getting Started
To sell books, you need an account. To create one, click the Create account link in the navigation bar on the left. Fill out the form and click "Submit Application". Once you have an account, click the "Sell Books" link to post a book for sale.

To browse the ads, click "Find Books" link in the navigation bar and begin your quest. You do not need an account to browse books.

How many people use it?
A very good question! The system currently has 521 users registered and 197 books posted for sale.
